Autumn 2020 Harrisons submitted planning application to open small area as limited opening pub & limited food – application withdrawn

1/6/21 Application submitted by Harrisons to RDC for change of use of WS to 5 bedroom house

7/7/21 Parish council voted to object to planning application for change of use

19/8/2021 ACV approved & registered by Ryedale DC. Assets remain listed for 5 years following which another application must be made to relist them.

26/9/21 Group objection letter to RDC

2021 164 objections to the change of use received by RDC

12/11/21 Reconvened Ryedale DC planning committee streamed online – refusal of application for change of use to 5-bedroom house.

28/7/22 Planning Inspectorate informed RDC that an appeal had been lodged by Harrisons

1/11/22 Planning Inspectorate Appeal hearing at Ryedale DC

2/5/23 Planning Inspectorate refused the appeal

29/6/23 Notification from NYC of intent to sell the WS by the Harrisons

10/7/23 Parish council letter to RDC notifying of wish to bid therefore triggering the moratorium period of 6 months
